The April 8th total solar eclipse of 2024 seems to be an event strictly for the US and select parts of northern Canada. As noted in other writings, Eagle Pass, TX seems to be a hot spot, especially since the October eclipse of 2023 hit there as well, so this is an X marks the spot situation, and if one looks the birth chart of Eagle Pass, we can also see that there is a distinct ramping up of energies at eclipse time.
Other places the eclipse will pass—near Austin, Texas, the capital—no surprise that there, that is the seat of government for the state of Texas. Other areas receiving hotspot energy: Little Rock, Arkansas; Texarkana; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Jonesboro MO, Indianapolis; (maybe Lexington, KY) Cleveland, OH; Buffalo & Rochester, NY; Montreal, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
Eagle Pass seems to have the most significant hits, if we are talking astrological Bingo. But, funny, before the Solar eclipse of April 8th—even during the lunar eclipse that precedes on March 25th, there doesn’t seem to be much going on, with the exception of continuing talks involving monetary needs and pressure from the outside. Both towns, Piedras Negras and Eagle Pass both, are more or less being forced to “go it alone” in dealing with the problems there, although there is some communication between the higher-ups of both sides of the border and country leaders.
The 2 towns were established at the exact same time, mid-June 1850. Like Palestine and Israel, they are twins—literally, Gemini is the Sun sign of this city.. North Node and Mars are conjunct in Leo in the 11th house about community, and each sees itself almost as a sovereign leader. But let’s also remember that Leo energy is the sign of someone who wants to be a Superman and help out the less fortunate, and both towns find themselves in this position. They want to do their best, but too many other factors are involved, including lack of funds. Moon and Jupiter are conjunct in the 12th house of Virgo, the sign of service, and Jupiter in the 12th is usually a sign of luck, but where is the luck these days? Maybe that’s like the guiding light that is drawing so many people to this little spot on earth. With Virgo rising (service) and Venus in Cancer in the 11th (Mommy), these places are aware of the difficult but important jobs they have in birthing new lives for people. And they CARE.
The pain point of Chiron is in the 3rd house of communication in Sagittarius. This lets us know that this is a world gate, for one—a place important to all those in the world passing through, that language barriers may be a problem, and 3rdhouse indicates travel—usually short travel—this is the gateway, no doubt. Neptune in the 6th house in Pisces indicates there really are no boundaries here, no matter what people want—and that, as to the solution, leaders are both short-lived and clueless, as short as the money situation. Both sides have received little bits of money here and there from both federal governments, but with so many changes on the US side of the border in leadership, how can anything be long-lasting and thus supportive?
The leadership of both sides of the border has been intermittent at best. Perhaps the area is too chaotic for anyone to handle it long, and although in 2007, the chart shows a tornado hitting the southern part of the town, nothing compares to the intensity of what is happening on April 8th.
Right now (February, as we speak) Saturn is putting pressure on this cluelessness of what to do—there is an attempt to make order out of --nothingness—But how can you rein in a flood or tsunami? What needs to happen is that the border must become, not only a dam, but an electric dam—that is, channel the (water) energy coming in and make POWER out of it. I have always said, they need to turn this into the biggest technical school you ever saw, with language classes as well as service and technical training to help not those coming in but to help the states with their ever-demanding need for workers. Well, this cements it., as far as I am concerned.
Right now, Jupiter in the 8th in Taurus does indicate that money is flowing in, but with transiting Neptune in Pisces in the 7th house, leaders don’t know their asses from their elbows.
Mexico has instituted a task force, but we all know what task forces do, right? All talk, no action. Mexico has also said they will not allow the US to reinstitute the sending people back over the border to sit and wait, as of January. They have agreed to take back 30,000 migrants a month, which is only 10% of the number. Mexico also has instituted a migration policy tp defend the rights of migrants as well as to take a humanitarian approach to them. In addition, They have instituted programs for Latin American development of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, to try to stem the monetary issues causing mass migration. But we hear all the time that many families leave these countries, because they are dangerous places, so is anything being done about that?
According to research, immigration itself is NOT linked to higher crime rates, but actually the reverse, because those folks want to stay and work. Lack of education is linked, more than anything, to higher crime rates, which is why they need to make the border a giant tech school. I’ll get off my high horse in a minute, Both the USA and Mexico help Central American states that these folks are fleeing with business incentives, etc. but the cartels and drug networks drive as much as 20% of the people to leave, destined for the US, due to dangerous living conditions.
All the more reason, to get these people who WANT to work here to become educated and employable here, since businesses NEED employees.
Back to the eclipses and their influence here. As the lunar eclipse, there seems to be some works going on under the radar to influence change at the border. Talks are still underway, but with Jupiter hitting Uranus in Taurus in the 8th house, this can be money that gets taken away, or the place hits the lottery. Since the latter is unlikely, let’s see what comes of this cooking soup---it looks spicey, and it may blow up on the stove, as the stove heats up on April 8th. Pressure is clearly building. (Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces in the 6th house—) Yep, the soup is boiling over. There may be some emergency talks to get a handle on the situation. To me, it looks like some of the leaders are unaware of what’s in the pot, so to speak. This makes me think outside influences are planning something that leaders may not be aware of. I know I recently saw a video of border residents asking fundamentalists from elsewhere in the US to leave, because they said the outsiders were causing more problems than the migrants themselves.
Truthfully, I think the explosion will come later in the month, perhaps at the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, because tensions will really be flaring as the planets all squeeze closer and closer together, just like the folks at the border. May 25th and June 7th seem to be particularly explosive—but I do see both sides of the border coming together to make an effort to help in this humanitarian crisis.
Will the Texas state government do anything about this? Looks like they are holding back from doing anything and are wanting to shut the border down completely. Such discussions continue through both eclipses, but Texas state can’t ignore the situation anymore circa May 7th, when something really explodes—Mars hits the Texas rising Mars/Uranus in Aries conjunction. Remember, Texas has always seen itself as an independent outlier, and they may suggest going that way again. Look for major KER-POW at that period. This is war, maybe literally.
Looking at the Austin birth chart (capitol) I think that’s where there is secret planning going on to do something nefarious—Mars hits Mars/Neptune in the 11th house in Aquarius. I think someone may be planning a little rebellion at the state capital. So let’s look at Greg Abbott, the infamous governor, who ships the migrants off across state lines (isn’t that illegal) to deposit on other cities’ doorsteps. More than 50% of people in Texas think the state is on the wrong track, and as of December 2023, the majority also disapprove strongly of Abbott’s choices. Why do they keep voting these wingnuts in? Please tell me. And guess what, hard to believe, but more than 50% of Hispanic males and more than 75% of white females voted for him, which is hard for me to believe, given his opinions and record. Maybe those things will change after the abortion laws and the Uvalde tragedy. I thought that the ice storm fiasco would do it and be enough for Beto to get over the line, but no…
Anyway, change is coming for Greg, like it or not. He has a “my way or the highway” elitist (of a sort) view with his Moon/Uranus in Leo opposing his Chiron in Aquarius, which has made him feel like a little bit of an outsider. Let’s look at this: Greg was a track star in high school, and then, while out running in 1984, a storm came through, and a large tree fell on him and paralyzed him from the waist down. He was only 27 years old—astrologers should understand that reference as a Saturn return problem that changes your life forever. (Know about the “27 club?”) Anyway, this says to me that he was either dumb to run in a storm or he thought he was invincible, which I don’t doubt, given his Leo Moon. Then, he had to acknowledge his differentness as a man in a wheelchair, the Chiron in Aquarius—I am different, and it hurts.
Nevertheless, he is a super Scorpio with a Scorpionic life purpose, which is to learn how to get control of the physical and finesse energy, not push it. Methinks Greg is like floodwaters, and we all know what they do, right? His Mars and Neptune conjoined in Scorpio still influence him, and so perhaps he has not learned yet the humility and ego lessness that he needs to learn. The lesson is coming, though. There is something happening, unpleasant, (unexpected thing) to a loved one at the end of February. In addition, Pluto is opposing his Leo Moon and squaring his Mars/Neptune exactly, and if that isn’t a come-to-Jesus moment, I don’t know what is. (Isn’t it amazing how these fundamentalists need these once in a while, when they should already be there?) Uranus is also opposing his Sun, so he may be having some serious health issues affecting him or a loved one. Will this make him a more humane person? His ego has not crashed yet, but perhaps wake-up time is coming, sad to say.
The first eclipse on March 25th sees Mars opposing his Pluto, which often makes one feel powerless. He will need to rely on loved ones to help him, emotionally and otherwise. He is going to have to make a painful announcement about his leadership or partnership at the first eclipse. He needs to let something go, and it may cost him money. Divorce? Without his rising sign, I can’t tell for sure, but the Uranus/Jupiter conjunction opposes his Sun, so that’s often divorce of business or personal relationships.
The solar eclipse has him ramping up to fight, but the situation doesn’t look good, except that he feels entitled to win whatever he does, so watch out as he may put t the pedal to the metal, as they say regarding both personal and business exploits. He’s got nothing to lose, methinks, looking at the difficulties in his chart, so I’ll give him this—he’ll go out swinging. However, as his life purpose goes, I don’t think he learned his lesson, quite. This doesn’t bode well if he decides to be obstinate about the border fight. What gets me is that it seems like he wants to make something more of this, for attention’s sake. I’m not saying this isn’t a serious problem. It is, but with someone like this in charge, who thinks he has the right to do anything and thinks there will be no repercussions for him, despite what the Lord Almighty showed him before—well, I wouldn’t want this overly aggressive, egotistic, righteous-minded person coming into a peace accord, because as long as he is there, there will be no profit, no productivity, no progress, and no peace, because he has made it about him and his ego and not other people. This can never solve the issue at the border. He holds all the vengefulness and negative traits of a Scorpio and thinks this will solve the problem? This isn’t how it’s done, buddy.
What can I say? No solution for the border crisis. Uptick in the reactivity there. Interlopers interfere with the real people doing the work. More upsets come in May and June, and the Texas state hierarchy postures and vogues for the camera.
Please, how about a solution? Not likely while Greg over-the-top Abbott is in charge, (And his deputy, Ken “I can get away with anything,” Paxton ain’t much better.) We’ll see what the federal prosecutors do. Sigh. Business as usual in my beloved state of TAXES. ☹
