Listening to the broadcasts about the latest Israeli/Palestinian conflict (July 2014), I feel I have to write about this from a cosmic perspective. To understand the reasons why two peoples who have been “without a country” would continue to beat each other up, like the Montagues and Capulets or the Hatfields and the McCoys, is SOOO DIFFICULT.
Astrologically, I have said before that they are siblings, Palestine born slightly after the creation of Israel, and so they are twins, born together in battle. The Israeli chart is stubborn Taurus, with a North Node in Taurus, doubly indicating a need to establish security in one’s life as a nation. Four planets in Leo create an obstinate fixed square to North Node/Sun. This is indicative that these are a people that feel they deserve to rule, especially after having experienced the horrors of Mother/Destroyer Kali—being separated from the Mother (Moon/Pluto conjunction). Saturn conjunct Pluto in Leo can create one of two scenarios: Pluto exaggerates, or Pluto separates. Saturn disciplines or oppresses, all in Leo, the King/Queen, who wants control and yet wants to be loved and adored. This reminds me of Israel’s relationship with many countries: “If you adore me and defer to me, I will reward you. If you don’t, off with your heads!” In a much smaller way, Palestine is this, too. But Palestine doesn’t get billions from the United States or anyone else. Remember, Leo can be a lovable leader, but Leo can also be a despot or tyrant. No wonder the twins are fighting!
The pain point (Chiron) of both countries is about getting control—of the physical, of the spiritual, of the water, oil, and blood beneath the surface. This is a blood feud. And it’s Scorpionic, so we know what that means…Scorpions sting themselves to death. This is the crux of the issue. Years of self-hate and fear have created jealousy, envy, resentment, and angry passions that these folks just can’t seem to let go of. Those Scorpion pincers hold on to the thing that is killing them. And then, to make matters worse, they sting themselves to death. When will they learn?
Yes, it is also true that foreign countries fund the problem. (Jupiter in Sag and Uranus in Gemini—that ;last one is the USA) Because of the combination of Jupiter (enlargement) and Uranus (rebellion), that makes me believe that foreign countries want the Hatfields and the McCoys situation. Maybe they are hoping that they will wipe each other out. Or, are they just making money off weaponry? It’s a pretty old story; war pays. Are you listening, guys?
In the traditional Israeli chart, Neptune is on the horizon, making it a spiritual state—a country based more on religion than anything else, which is true, (although it doesn’t seem like they are practicing). In Libra, they are to be open to other’s ideas, opinions, and religion—or be confused by them. Guess they have chosen the latter. Palestine, whose birthday is technically the following day, has Aquarius on the horizon, an outcast, the “different one.” All of the Leonine stuff is in partnership areas: having an oppressive partner. You can’t get more oppressed than being forced onto the Gaza Strip!
The pain point moves to the Midheaven, making it the number one focal point, and the Taurus stuff ends up in the third house of communication, making them speak strong, if nothing else. Both countries have indicators that they need to take their causes to the world and the internet.
Unlike Israel, Palestine can use several other birthdays for contemplation. The United Nations partition of 1947 caused over 700,000 Palestinians to flee the lands that became Israel’s homeland. This chart shows a Sagittarian people, having to expand or grow or release themselves to the world. Jupiter in Sagittarius is conjunct the Sun, the sun being the people’s identity. They were flung out into the world. Jupiter, although often seen as an expansive planet, is also the planet of divorce, so, here, a people became divorced (by a UN “court”) from their homeland. Isn’t this what happened to the Jews? Are we seeing the larger picture here? Could there be a larger lesson (Sagittarius) than the one we are being shown?
What I can also say is this: anywhere Jupiter is, there is opportunity. I am always reminding people who just got fired from their jobs or divorced from spouses that there is a bigger and better world out there for them. In some ways, right there, Palestinians not only became a homeless people, but they became a “people of the world,” and as a marketer, Jupiter in Sag says, “get the word out.” This chart indicates that their destiny, which is to be secure, to find their ground (North Node in Taurus) will always be a pain point they must talk about (Mercury conjunct Chiron in Scorpio), and they may have to do it in underhanded ways. After all, Scorpio is a sign of secrets, propaganda, the hidden, and depths within. The Pisces rising in this chart also indicates a spiritual people, lost and confused, and, again, dominated by larger forces (Saturn/Pluto/Mars in Leo), making them feel powerless. The Cancer Moon makes them want to hold on with those big ole’ crab’s claws and indicates their sensitivities yet need for protection. But, sadly, their shell is easily cracked, and it’s difficult to move forward.
The third birth chart of Palestine relates to when its borders were created in 1922. The North Node is only 1 minute (not 1 degree—1 minute!) away from a cooperative Libra North Node. Instead, the destiny resides in earthy, picky, negative Virgo, a sign of servants—or service. Again, Saturn in Libra is conjunct that Virgoan destiny—the oppressive, disciplinarian partner. The pain point (Chiron) is in Aries, meaning, “I don’t want to do it alone.” This pain is opposed by Jupiter and Mercury in Libra (growth through negotiation and partnership) and, of course, our karmic teacher Saturn. Pluto and the Moon are conjunct in the partnership house, once again the Kali-esque Mother/Devourer as a partner, in Cancer…a relationship that never ends…L
Rising sign is Sag, country of the world, maybe created by the U.N.—or the world—not self-created. Uranus the rebel is in Pisces (weak), Neptune in Leo (strong faith).
These two countries have karma together, but, in my personal view, that is no excuse for the genocides. And past genocides are no excuse for present ones.
Remember that there are positive traits to the planets, too. If they became truly spiritual countries, and if they chose to become lovable, generous leader-countries, instead of locked in violence and persecution, they could set an example for the world. As Dr. Phil would say, “who wants to be a hero?” Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. would say, “don’t resist, lay down your arms.” Is that possible to do? It seems that the people of Gaza have tried that, and they keep getting pushed. Instead of “an eye for an eye” or “brother for brother,” it’s “one eye for thousands” and “one brother for a city-full of people.” How can that be fair? Well, it’s ridiculous to speak of “fairness.” It has been said in metaphysical circles that as Israel goes, so goes the world. So if Israel would only lay down its arms and become a truly spiritual leader…?
Astrologically, I think that Israel won’t stop, so Hamas won’t stop. The desperate are compelled to suicide. This has happened before, and it will happen again. Israel will be stopped, but not until September, and they won’t like it. Why do I say that? Because in September, it shows Jupiter hitting Pluto, and Pluto intensifies or separates. In this case, I hope it will take the wind out of the sails on Israel’s warship. Of course, this happens to both nations. While Israel is annoyed; Palestine will be angry, but they will both be removed of their power. Wow. Ceasefire or something more drastic, whatever is in store, I think the cavalry comes…I hope it is a spiritual one. Well, maybe it’s Dr. Phil!
When I look at Israel and the U.S., it’s like the chart of a schoolgirl madly in love with the bad boy who is in the gang. Guess who the bad boy is, and guess who the lovesick girl is. The U.S. is the lovesick girl, completely enamored and, madly, wildly in love with Israel, who is a warrior boyfriend. They have a spiritual link but really couldn’t be more different, as Israel has a lot of communist leanings—all must serve in the military, many folks live in communes, and Israel is a warrior—although, yes, they try to control themselves but don’t always do that well. I don’t think Israel will ever be a nation of peace, because they are not peaceful inherently, just as the Palestinians, their astrological twins, are not, either. Actually, the Palestinians are more geared to peace but are constantly having to fight for survival, which is then why they war. Israel literally feels on top of the world because of their powerful partner. It’s like a street hood has married the most rich and powerful WOMAN on the planet. Lady Liberty is like a schoolgirl when she sees her hot little street tough, and she gives him anything. Meanwhile, Israel flaunts this power of protection by flashing his weapons and being arrogant in the neighborhood. He knows his woman has got his back.
Palestine has learned from watching, and so has gone searching for a powerful lady partner too, but meanwhile, he has to work his ass off to make that liaison work. And of course, he doesn’t have much of a bride price to bring to the table, so therein lies the problem. All he has is location, location, and no one is even sure if he has THAT.
No matter what kind of talks Israel is having now, she will take war-like actions by the end of May, first week of June 2008, and show her war-mongering spirit for real. So-called peace talks will continue as folks make an effort to shut them down. Remember that she feels like she can do anything, but come next Spring, she won’t feel so sure about her partner. In love as she may be, she may feel abandoned by Lady Liberty. Whoops!
LOOK AT HOW FAR BACK THOSE WRITINGS GO! The first was 10 years ago; that last section was written circa 2007/2008. They both sound like RIGHT NOW!!! Nothing has changed! In Israel, not even the leaders have changed, but more people have died: over 30,000 since just last October, and that’s mainly on the Palestinian side. A few nights ago, I went back over the history of Israel and Palestine, the pushing and shoving that Israel began, to push the Palestinians into the sea—they have clearly wanted them OUT for a long time, since the beginning of THEIR time in 1948. They wanted them all pushed to Egypt, which caused so many problems since 1967, mainly, because Egypt didn’t want them, either. While I understand the plight of the Israelis and their desire for a homeland, their methods have not ever been constructive or kind, while they have been biblical, in a sense, in their need to persecute, starve, and leave Palestinians to die of thirst, hunger, and disease, if they even survived Israel’s bombings. In the early 2000s, I did some research on the suicide bombings that were happening at that time in Israel. What I found was that after every Israeli offensive into Palestine, the suicides in the streets and markets of Israel would grow. You know, when you are a hopeless person, when you have lost family and homeland, you have nothing left to lose, so why not go out with a bang and take some of the offenders with you? But, of course, the problem is, not all are offenders. Some, most are just regular people.
This is where Hamas should have had a “what are you thinking?” moment before going and massacring a bunch of innocent people at a music festival. Didn’t they know what would happen? Didn’t they know it would not help but would only make things a thousand times worse? C’mon, people! DUH! Netanyahu and his ilk weren’t even at the festival, so WHY? I get the years pf pain and death. Recently, my astrology group looked at the chart of the head of Hamas—Ismail Haniyeh. The guy has an impressive chart: Super-Aquarius—7 points in Aquarius, which are all going to be hit in the upcoming years by Pluto. This lifts you up or takes you out. Because Pluto was exactly on his Mars in early October 2023, I am pretty sure he was involved in the October 7thattack planning. I hope it was worth it to him, because he lost 14 family members, including his grandson. His super Aquarius energy normally would belie a super-patriot. He has such super-fixed energy that this is someone who will never give up. But, ay, here’s the rub: in 2016, he moved most of his immediate family to Qatar, where they have lived ever since. Let’s just say this is not a Zelensky-type patriot. This is a “I’ll live high in the hog over here while you guys fight” style “patriot.” For shame!
The on-site head of Hamas is Yahya Sinwar. He and his family have been in hiding within Gaza—they say, in the tunnels somewhere. Sinwar is a super-Scorpio, but his placements of Neptune (near Sun/Moon), his Jupiter/Chiron in Pisces spelling his vulnerability by staying—and his Aquarian Saturn/South Node opposing his North Node/Mars in Leo show he is the true patriot/leader here, if there is one. Of course, let’s remember, these are Hamas, folks. Terrorists. They feel they have a spiritual, religious purpose--or obligation, really, to fight for their “cause;” in this case, their right to exist. Their methods? Not so great, and certainly, results have been disastrous. This fellow’s chart shows he is trapped, and I think he and his family will be “released” in mid-April by the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, but whether that will be to Janna (Paradise) or to Hell (Gaza, above ground—probably pretty much like Gaza underground), who’s to say? What I hope and pray is that the Israeli hostages will at long last be released!
Mahmoud Abbas, the former president of Palestine (by just a few weeks) shows up astrologically as a lucky nothing-burger. (late Scorpio Sun, conjunct Jupiter in Sag, Pluto/Moon in Cancer, Mars/North Node in Capricorn—a glorified civil servant) I think he just tries to stay out of firing range. As of mid-March 2024, he stepped down as president and named his own replacement—not well-taken by Hamas or any other Palestinians, except maybe by his wife and family. Get thee to Qatar, Mahmoud! He has chosen Muhammad Mustafa as his replacement.
Mustafa is a Virgo Sun/Mercury, which is fitting, as he is primarily an economist and politician, not a war-monger. He has loads of international experience, including 15 years in the United States at the World Bank. Looks like he is really connected to “the swamp.” He got a bachelor’s in electrical engineering at Baghdad University and a Master’s and PhD from George Washington University. No wonder Netanyahu is getting nervous. But it just shows how your life can change, depending on where you go to college and who you know. Mustafa was named in the Panama Papers for transferring money from Arab states to the Palestinian Authority. He has South Node, Jupiter, and Uranus in Cancer, and if you know about Cancers, they love their home and homeland and never let go of the dream of HOME SWEET HOME, wherever that may be. So Jupiter makes him an opportunist, and Uranus makes him a rebel/patriot after all, for all his seeming to be an accountant or banker. This is indeed a man with a mission. Hamas and other Palestinian factions do not like him, because they feel he was chosen without a consensus of the people. But he just could be the person they need to help their home state—because he is a man of quiet influence. He has Saturn in Scorpio, so he knows how to keep mum, and his Venus/Neptune conjunction in Libra indicates that he believes peace is a spiritual obligation to attain. His Leo Moon makes him charming and highly connected, even if not showy. He has influence and contacts on both sides of the Atlantic and Mediterranean, clearly. His North Node is in Capricorn—work hard to get that money—and getting that money is his most difficult task of all—easy for himself, perhaps. Harder for his country, as represented by the pain point Chiron in Capricorn. He is here to hopefully heal that pain. If nothing else, his chart shows his determined efforts to talk to powers and money partners on the down low—trying to solve some of these challenging monetary and emergency aid supply problems. In years to come, Pluto opposing his Moon will change him fundamentally. We may see him become a greater leader, driven by the deeply tragic experiences he is currently seeing his nation endure. I think Israel is building another rebel warrior, and perhaps one more powerful because of his connections. This is a grave error in judgment by Netanyahu.
So, let’s talk about Netanyahu. He is a super Libra, as many politicians are—Bill Clinton and Vlad Putin are two others. South Node, Neptune and Mercury connect to his Sun/Moon conjunction, indicating that Ben was born on a Solar eclipse. As the lunar eclipse we had on March 25th recently connected with this, he needs to pay attention and not let his Mommy issues harm his relationships. I think he already has messed that one up. He never was well-like by Obama, and Joe, because he has a longer history in politics, may be a bit kinder, methinks Ben has been pushing the issue. And remember what I said about the lunar eclipse? Sometimes we just need to let go of certain relationships. Besides, eclipses have a habit of taking out great leaders—well, maybe not great, but well-known. Oops!
The USA will probably always support Israel monetarily, because the U.S. needs a support system there in between all those Arab states, even if we get along better with many of them nowadays. But Iran is a big problem, so Europe and the U.S. need to help protect Israel. Yet, Netanyahu has become a liability politically, because he has gone a bit too far with his revenge. He is NOT going to wipe out Hamas and is only going to create MORE rebel fighters and multiply his country’s misery. With Uranus in Cancer, he too sees himself as a patriot for Israel, but this also makes him a disrupter, much like Trump. His Pluto and Mars in Leo makes him think he can get away with anything, also much like Trump, and maybe he isn’t wrong, as he has been indicted on criminal charges of corruption and fraud. Even as he leads the nation, the trial is underway. Perhaps this is where Trump got his idea that he could still be an indicted criminal and a president. It is a premise that has certainly worked for Bibi. His pain point Chiron is conjunct Venus in Sagittarius, which seems to indicate a love/hate relationship with the world, but his Jupiter in Capricorn will always make him lucky in money. The North Node and Chiron in Virgo are currently conjunct his own North Node in Aries. He was always destined to be a leader, but will he suddenly find himself alone? Saturn in Pisces, soon to be joined by Mars, is going to oppose his birth Saturn in Virgo (he hasn’t killed them all perfect enough), but I think he is about to get his hand slapped in a big way. He knows he can get away with a lot, but he certainly shouldn’t test it at election time in the U.S.
By the way, I should say that he too grew up in the United States, in Philadelphia, and went to MIT. Only difference is, he did go home to join the military in Israel in 1967, came back to the USA after his tour, but then returned to Israel in the early 70s. So, he is not unconnected to the powers that be, either. The South Node transits his birth Neptune in Libra, as Neptune and Venus are headed to oppose his Saturn in Virgo too. I think he is living under the illusion that he can do anything and that there are no boundaries. He may be sadly mistaken. And just wait until transiting Mars gets up there to oppose all his Libra stuff. Either he is going to jail, or the Taurus surprise of Jupiter/Uranus may send him a warning not to mess around or monetary support could be retracted. It won’t all be, but still, that would be a huge threat that he can’t afford to ignore. Joe is a Scorpio, after all, and wants to keep Bibi in line.
So do I see any hope for these two countries? Well, the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Taurus will sit right on their Suns, so this is obviously a divorce, and I hope a permanent ceasefire, after Bibi gets a threat –or goes to prison. Perhaps Mars conjoining Saturn in Pisces, past all the rough stuff as it transits the two countries’ birth charts, will finally bring some kind of peace, but, if so, it seems to be forced by outside forces, not because Bibi wants to quit. Clearly, these two, since they cannot and will never make amends, need to get a divorce. The two-state solution needs to happen and give them both new birthdays. But the twins just can’t get out of that wrestling hold they have on each other. I wish they would hug and kiss instead of trying to pin each other. Let’s see what the divorce date brings: April 28th—and hope and pray for the best.
I hope that, in ten years, I am unable to use the same write-up I used in 2008 and 2014.
